Danny's style and technique of classic realism is perfectly matched with portraiture and he has been commissioned for many portraits through the years. Danny typically has a photo session with the subject and works from that photography. Danny has also been commissioned to document historical events, such as the series of paintings depicting the Gunfight at the OK Corral and his moving tribute to the fallen Vietnam War soldiers entitled "Daddy's Girl".  Danny's wife was ecstatic when he received the commission from the famed rock concert promoter, Barry Fey, to paint her favorite band...The Grateful Dead.
